Construction Site Erosion Control and

Stormwater Management Ordinance

On June 17, 2003 the Winnebago County Board formally approved a Construction Site Erosion Control and Stormwater Management Ordinance.  The ordinance took effect starting on September 1, 2003.  The ordinance applies to activities associated with removing ground cover, excavating, driveway or road work, utility work and ditch maintenance.   Those involved with these land-disturbing activities should contact Winnebago County Land & Water Conservation Department with the exception of the Towns of Menasha and Omro.

If you're building a new home, you will need to get an Erosion Control Permit.
